Biography

Zubayer Shams is a medical student at Brunel University London and the presenting author of this work. He has a strong academic interest in neurosurgery, global neurosurgery, and pediatric neuro-oncology, with a particular focus on addressing healthcare disparities in low- and middle-income countries. He currently serves as Chair of the Neurology and Neurosurgery Society at his medical school and has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications. Alongside his research, he is actively involved in medical education, leadership, and global health initiatives, aiming to contribute to equitable, multidisciplinary neurosurgical care worldwide.
