Yuichiro Kato is a professor in the Faculty of Sports and Health Studies at Heisei International University, where he teaches kinesiology and swimming. He earned his PhD from the University of Tsukuba and specializes in physical fitness, cognitive-motor control, reaction time, and event-related potentials. His research focuses on the effects of physical activity on cognitive function, particularly the effects of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) on executive function. In his free time, he enjoys swimming with wild dolphins in the Ogasawara Islands, Japan.
