Biography

Dr. Vernon L. Velho is a distinguished Indian neurosurgeon celebrated for his exemplary leadership and surgical mastery in complex cranial and spinal disorders. Born in Chinchinim, Goa, he completed his medical training with distinction and over two decades has become a pillar of the Neurosurgery Department at Grant Medical College and Sir J.J. Group of Hospitals in Mumbai. He joined the department in 2000 and rose to become Head of Department in 2007, guiding one of India’s foremost neurosurgical centers. Dr. Velho has authored numerous influential publications, trained generations of neurosurgeons, and is admired for his compassionate care, clinical innovation, and unwavering commitment to excellence in neurosurgery.
