Biography

Tobias Brummer, MD, is a neurology resident and clinician scientist at the University Medical Center Mainz, Germany. He completed his doctoral training at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE), graduating summa cum laude for his work on ADAM10-related mechanisms in Alzheimer’s disease. His current research focuses on multimodal biomarker approaches integrating MRI, optical coherence tomography, and blood-based biomarkers to predict disability progression and long-term outcomes in multiple sclerosis. He received the TransMed JumpStart Clinician Scientist Fellowship in 2021 and has presented his work at several international conferences including ECTRIMS.

Multiple sclerosis and neuroimmunology, Neuroimaging biomarkers, Optical coherence tomography (OCT), Disability progression in MS, Neurodegeneration and compartmentalized inflammation, Multimodal biomarker integration.
