Biography

Rulin Geng, Ph.D., is a clinician and researcher in neurology at The Eighth Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, Shenzhen, China. Her research focuses on neuroimmunological mechanisms in Parkinson’s disease, particularly the role of α-synuclein-reactive T cells, microglial activation, chemotactic migration, and neuroinflammatory amplification. Her doctoral work investigated how adaptive immune responses contribute to central nervous system infiltration and dopaminergic neuronal injury in Parkinson’s disease models. She is also interested in translational studies integrating immunology, neurodegeneration, and biomarker-driven therapeutic strategies.

Research interests:

Neuroimmunology; Parkinson’s disease; α-synuclein-reactive T cells; microglial activation; chemokine-mediated immune cell recruitment; neuroinflammation; dopaminergic neurodegeneration
