Biography

Murad Barakat is an Honorary Clinical Research Fellow at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, University College London, where he investigates wearable technologies for gait monitoring in neurological disease. He is currently completing an MSc in Clinical Neurosciences from UCL and has a bachelor’s in psychology & Neuroscience (Magna Cum Laude) from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. His research interests encompass clinical neuroscience, behavioral neurology, and the application of translational research in real-world patient treatment. Murad has led multiple research projects in behavioral neuroscience and clinical psychology and is a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society. He’s lived in Europe, Africa and North America, and is fluent in English, French, and Arabic, and brings an international perspective to interdisciplinary neuroscience research.
