Michael Lai Kit Chung is an international PhD student at Hokkaido University, Japan, working in the field of neurodegenerative disease research. His work focuses on the molecular mechanisms underlying Alzheimer’s disease, particularly the role of ECRG4 in Aβ pathology. His research integrates cell biology, molecular biology, microbiology, biochemical analysis, protein engineering, histology, animal models, and postmortem tissue analysis to identify novel therapeutic targets and biomarker candidates for Alzheimer’s disease. He is particularly interested in the development of innovative regenerative medicine and genetic therapies for neurodegenerative diseases, bridging academic research and pharmaceutical applications.
