Biography
Dr. Harvey Barry Sarnat is a Professor Emeritus at the University of Calgary, Canada, and a renowned paediatric neurologist and neuropathologist. His research focuses on neuroembryology, developmental neuropathology, congenital brain malformations, fetal and neonatal neurology, and the neuropathology of childhood epilepsy. He is widely recognized for developing the Sarnat and Sarnat neonatal encephalopathy staging scale, which is used internationally to assess newborn brain injury.
