Biography
Maryam Saberi-Karimian, PhD, is affiliated with the Metabolic Syndrome Research Center at Mashhad University of Medical Sciences, Mashhad, Iran. Her research presentation focuses on emerging therapeutic strategies for ataxia-telangiectasia, a rare neurodegenerative disorder. Her work reviews the potential of leucine derivatives, low-dose oral dexamethasone, and trehalose to improve motor function and quality of life in affected patients. Her research highlights advances in symptomatic treatment and the need for continued investigation into long-term outcomes and disease-modifying therapies.
