Biography

Dr. Amy Zhang, Associate Professor of the Schools of Nursing and Medicine, Case Western Reserve University in the United States, specializes in the mental and behavioral health of cancer patients, particularly psychoneuroimmunology. She has conducted funded studies for over a decade on the relationships of immunologic inflammation, depression, and irritability. Through domestic and international research, she has developed a new measure, The Irritability Scale-Initial Version (TISi), and has identified the role of irritability in the development of depression during cancer treatment. Recently, she has expanded this investigation to uncover the underlying neuroimmunological mechanism of irritability and depression.
